The Power of Marketing

Manage your property with Innsoft and savvy marketingMarketing is intimidating — there is no question about it — but properly communicating the value of your product, service, or brand to customers and consumers is essential to making your business thrive. A strategically delivered marketing campaign will help you fill more rooms and increase revenues. When implementing your marketing strategy, there are several key areas to consider:

Know your competition and your industry

Identifying your competition is more than just knowing who they are, it’s about knowing your industry, your competitor’s rates, where they advertise, and what they are doing to make their property stand out.

Identify your marketing goals

Make a list of opportunities where you want to establish quantifiable marketing goals. After you make that list, look at all the channels you will use to reach your target audience — who you market to and how you market to them is the backbone of your overall strategy. Consider the following marketing opportunities:

  • Set up professional profiles on social media platforms (Google Places, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
  • Regularly visit “review” sites such as Yelp, Trivago, and TripAdvisor. This will help you know what your customers are saying and address any issues.
  • Advertise – Print flyers and brochures.
  • Conduct email campaigns – Reach out to existing customers and keep them engaged by sending promotions.
  • Network – Refer business within your networks; word of mouth is free and establishes strong connections in your community.
  • Monitor your results – Survey your customers and track sales by putting promo codes on all marketing materials so you can measure the return from each campaign.
  • Most importantly, once you start, don’t stop marketing.
