GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Pentium 4-1.5 GHz processor or better.
  • 512 MB RAM
  • Windows XP (Service Pack 3), Windows Vista Business* (Service Pack 1)
  • 40 GB Hard Drive or better
  • CD ROM Drive
  • A Modem (Only required for dial-up credit card processing)
  • 1 Serial Port**
  • Mouse
  • USB port(s)
  • Windows compatible printer. (Laser printer recommended)
  • Ethernet port

*64-bit Windows versions are not supported.

**If you are unable to purchase a computer with a serial port(s), USB to serial adapters are recommended.

PRINTERS
Any windows compatible laser printer will work with Check-Inn^®. Hewlett Packard and Brother laser printers are recommended.

MODEMS
A modem will only be required if you plan to use dial-up credit card processing. A US Robotics external modem (model 5686E) is recommended.

NETWORKING
For a network, you will need a computer and monitor at each station equipped with an Ethernet card and an appropriate version of Windows (Windows 2000, Windows XP). You will also need a hub, switch or router to connect the computers and an Ethernet cable for each station. The networking module must be purchased for Check-Inn^® to run over a network.

NOTE: Wireless networks are not supported with Check-Inn^® for Windows.
